The Gang Goes Mainstream

We react with outrage after the S-R borderline slanders us. More details about “Booze Walk 2: The Stefaning.” Remi and Stefan play a serious game of Wii Golf. You can also download a high quality file.

A question we edit out, but which I will include here:

Portland — on the coast or not?

This is a great rule.

You can be jealous of a city. Jealousy being something like desiring another’s advantages… I think Spokane *SHOULD* be a little jealous of Portland, just in the sense that in looking at the success of other cities it can create options of growth for Spokane. Likewise, Portland should be jealous of all kinds of other cities (mostly small European places no one has heard of). And that ends my civics lesson today. :)

The meeting at the Dalles is a great idea. We can exchange gifts and create a shadow government.

it’s true, it’s always two weeks out. Getting shirts made is a slow process. Painfully slow.

Mayor Mikey, I’m gonna argue that a city is something that is too abstract to be outright jealous of. There are certainly many many aspects that impresses me about Portland, and Spokane should probably aspire to achieve similar things. But jealousy is too negative to be a good thing. In my opinion, anyway.

Plus I’m from a small European places no one has heard of, so I win.

I wasn’t thinking of jealousy as especially negative, and that’s a good point. I also will agree that “entire city” is perhaps a little large… it’s more like you could be jealous of the bicycle usage in the Netherlands.

Where are you from?

I am road tripping at the beginning of August and we may find ourselves in Spokane the same weekend as the Booze Walk, but we may not. Hence the maybe.

The worst part about that S-R article is that it has about two lines about you guys and then the rest is a bunch of how-to crap. Outrageous!

Mikey, you should find the episode where Remi teaches Stefan some Norwegian. Comedy gold.

I am way past my spokaneownsyou fix, but I did read the spokesman article and you are rightly outraged. LAME!

So, I was just going to show up to Booze Walk. Did my invitation get lost in the mail, or did I not make the cool kid list.

My stomach hurt with this one boys. Thanks

PS I am NOT sucking up for an invite.

PPS What Mikey does not understand is that people in Spokane consider Seattle “on the coast”.

You’re in our Facebook group, right? You should’ve gotten one. If not, add me as a friend, and I’ll extend a personal invite that way.
