i’m a recent fan, but i have to say this podcast really wasn’t doing it for me. why bitch so much about the inlander’s poll? if you really have a problem with the results, then gather your hipster army (you might have to do a lot of cloning because the relative population of hipster to middle-aged, cabella-shopping, twigs-eating, jazz-listening spokanite is quite low) and order that army to either make it’s own “best of” list or kill all the non-hipsters and wait until next year to view the inlander results. that would make a much more interesting podcast at least.

actually, it sounded like you were saying that the inlander’s editors should censor the boring people - as part of their duty as an “alt” weekly. and yeah, maybe the inlander should grow an alt set, but a poll’s a poll.

I think the podcast needs blind taste testing of some sort. And, clearly a drunk Stefan would take the podcast up a notch.

I’d just like to chime in here with a few points.
1. The Inlander should censor “boring” ballots. Let’s face facts, the “Best of” list hasn’t changed much in the past 10 years. Isn’t that a problem?
2. “A poll’s a poll.” I don’t think this was meant to be funny but I laughed out loud at it. Polls are polls, thanks anon.

A good compromise would be for the Inlander to pick their own Bests and then just include the reader’s choice as a foot note in each category.

Or, maybe clearly focus the categories locally. You can have a best *local* coffee shop category and then just ignore people that vote for Starbucks.

Allow me to channel my inner Remi and be completely arrogant here - best podcast ever, on the pure fact that you talked about me and DTE. Bravo!
Now, to accept your invitation - I would be honored to be part of the best podcast on the net - only if I can talk about myself more, haha - j/k - I would do it for sure though.
