Let there be sidewalks

I don’t know how the catholics do it. Prayer? Divine intervention? Nose to the grindstone religious work ethics combined with a dull lifestyle? Exorcism? Whatever the reason might be, they at least have the cleanest sidewalks in Spokane right now, and bless them for it seeing how I’ve fallen on my ass twice this winter already.

I wish the roads were clean. Why do the plows only travel on main arteries and in the big money neighborhoods?

Lord knows; they slashed their budgets fairly severely a few years back, and I’m not sure if they’ve recovered from that yet.

Hee, I slipped over on some ice when I was walking by myself once. It was in the school buspark, and I was walking behind a bus so I thought no one saw. But someone did :(

A few of my neighbors have sidewalks like that, I suspect that they go out in the night with hairdryers…It’s funny how a neighborhood has the whole range — from that to people who do the whole sidewalk, to people who plow a shovel’s-width path, to those who say screw it, I don’t want people walking past my house anyway.
